"Benchrest Pistol," sometimes referred to as "Hunter's Sight-In," is conducted at the 100-yard/200-yard Benchrest range. It is the only time that pistols can be be fired at distances of up to 200 yards.
This is not a match, it is an informal shooting event supervised by Range Safety Officers that follows club safety rules and special rules for this event. Most shooters use Thompson Center-type pistols, with or without scopes, but other pistols may be allowed at the discretion of the RSOs conducting the event.
