CMP Rimfire Sporter Clinic & Match

Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 8:00am

Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club
CMP Rimfire Sporter Clinic and Sanctioned Rifle Match

A Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Rimfire Sporter Clinic and Match will be offered to familiarize new participants with the sport. Experienced riflemen will guide and coach the new participants in rifle handling, use of the sling, getting into position and making the shot. Rimfire Sporter takes its name from the rifles used in this shooting sports discipline. The concept is to make this a game everyone can shoot by letting them use rimfire plinking rifles that most gun owners already own. Anyone who owns one of these rifles can shoot it in a Rimfire Sporter match and be competitive without having to buy an expensive target rifle and equipment.
