Level III Defensive Shotgun

This course is designed to tie-together all the fundamentals of self-defense shooting with a shotgun and handgun.

You will learn . . . how to employ the fundamental concepts of self-defense battle into a smooth, fluid defensive shotgun and handgun system; . . . how to transition from strong hand to support hand; . . . how to move from cover and position to new cover and positions while engaging multiple targets; . . . and while handling multiple malfunctions and disabilities or incapacitations.

Course Objectives: Instill the broader fundamental skills required to safely employ the self-defense shotgun and a defensive handgun, and survive in a self-defense shooting in close quarters battle.

Course Requirements: Valid current concealed weapon license and successful completion of Level II Close-Quarters Defensive Shotgun Course, shotgun (pump or automatic), carry sling, shell bandoleer, 200 rounds of bird shot (No. 7 ½ or larger), 50 rounds of 00 buckshot and 50 rounds of slug, handgun (automatic pistol or double-action revolver), 3 magazines for automatics or 2 speed loaders for revolvers, rigid holster (no cross-draw or inside the pants holsters), magazine or speed loader pouch as appropriate, 150 rounds of handgun ammunition, eye and hearing protection, suitable range clothing, and other miscellaneous items detailed in the registration form.


The fee for club members is $125 and for non-member guests $135.
