The cost is $7 per round (paid at the end) and each round consists of 25 shots. Bring your own shells. Clay and throwers are provided. Meets on the Trap and Skeet field beside the Pole barn. If you don't know the rules, we will teach you.

For all those shooters interested in learning about skeet shooting,  Todd Ives will be holding  series of  free orientation classes on the following dates:

Oct 4, 2014

NOV 1, 2014

DEC 20, 2014.

These sessions are free except for range fees and ammunition. You must also bring your own shotgun and safety gear.

The sessions are held in conjunction with the regular practice shoot held each Saturday evening 5:30PM thru 9:00PM.

This course is designed to tie-together all the fundamentals of self-defense shooting with a handgun. 

You will learn: . . . how to employ the fundamental concepts of self-defense battle into a smooth, fluid defensive handgun system; . . . how to transition from strong hand to support hand; . . . how to move from cover and position to new cover and positions while engaging multiple targets; . . . and while handling multiple malfunctions and disabilities or incapacitations.

Level I Close-Quarters Defensive Shotgun  This course will teach you the basics of handling and employing your shotgun for self-defense in close quarters battle.  

You will learn . . .

-- how to carry, load, shoot, clear malfunctions and assume defensive positions

-- the tactical advantages and disadvantages between buckshot and slug

-- to shoot from 3 yards to 100 yards. 

Course Objectives: Instill the broad fundamental skills of firearm manipulation required to safely employ the self-defense shotgun.

Here's a blast from the past. This is an informal shoot for muzzleloading rifles, pistols and shotguns using 25, 50 and 100 yard targets. Goes until everyone is tired, sometimes all day.  Hotdogs available off the grill. Break out your Kentucky rifle, Brown Bess or blunderbuss and come on down.  All muzzleloading arms are welcome.
